Pillar 1: Health Sector HIV services

The ministries of Health coordinate health sector HIV services through the Division of Health Management Information System. Existing standard reporting forms are to capture the requisite facility and district level data for KNASP III. After data verification, the ministries of Health will analyze and report on the relevant heathe sector HIV indicators to the National AIDS Control Council. Some of key health sector institutions mandated to contribute HIV-related data to the Health Medical Information System are National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCOP), National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS), Division of Leprosy, Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (DLTLD), Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA).

Pillar 2: Sectoral Mainstreaming of HIV and AIDS

Sectoral HIV and AIDS Mainstreaming reporting tool is filled quarterly by all implementors in the public and private sectors. Please download and read the guidelines before filling the forms.

Pillar 3: Community/ Area Based HIV and AIDS Programmes 

Community Based Programme Activity Reports (COBPAR)  The national HIV and AIDS Monitoring and Evaluation Framework identifies Community Based Programme Activity reports (COBPAR) as one source of data. NACC rolled out this sub-system in July 2006. The COBPAR activity form is filled quarterly by implementers with community based interventions.  

NACC finalized a new revision of the COBPAR reporting tools and is currently implementing the roll out plan of the tools country wide. CSOs can download the tools and start reporting using them. In order to provide accurate information please download and read the guidelines before filling the forms.  

 

Return completed forms as follows;

a)2 copies to your CACC Coordinator by the 5th of the month following the quarter. Retain one copy and forward one copy to your funder(s)

b)The CACC Coordinator will send one copy to their respective NACC Field/Regional offices by 15thof the month following the quarter and retain one copy

Pillar 4: Governance and Strategic Information
Though there is no specific M&E tool for Pillar 4, regular monitoring on governance and strategic information will be done by NACC field offices using routine quarterly programmatic reports. These quarterly programmatic reports cover the identified routine monitoring sytems for crosscutting issues and financial management systems.
