NACC DECENTRALIZED STRUCTURES

NACC has established decentralized structures in order to realize an effective coordination, supervision and monitoring of the national response at grassroots levels. There are 9 NACC regions across the country. These are Coast, Nairobi, Nyanza, Eastern, Western, Central, North Rift, South Rift and North Eastern Regions, each headed by a Field Officer. Below the regional offices are the District Technical Committees (DTCs). DTCs form the technical arm of the District Development Agenda on HIV and AIDS programmes

This ensures that HIV and AIDS is mainstreamed in the district development programs. The District Development Officer is the DTC focal person.  NACC has also established Constituency AIDS Control Committees (CACCs) in all the 210 constituencies in the country to coordinate and supervise HIV and AIDS activities at the community/constituency level.

This section is currently undergoing an upgrade whose end result is to interlink each region with its M&E reports as well as the status of HIV and AIDS activities in each region, with all relevant information including funding status of each programme implementor. (Please bear with us as this process is finalized)
